Apple has acquired mobile advertising firm Quattro Wireless for US$275m, according to various reports.
Quattro was established in 2006 and has since received investment from the likes of Highland Capital Partners and Globespan Capital Partners and is being compared to AdMob, the mobile advertiser which was snapped up by Google late last year for US$750m, and which Apple is said to have been eyeing at the time.
