America Movil has announced plans to delist its fixed-line operator Telmex from the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores – the Mexican stock exchange.
AMX is offering Ps10.225 (US$0.77) per share for the outstanding 2.79% of the company’s stock it doesn’t already own.
In December 2011 Telmex delisted from the NYSE, NASDAQ, and the Mercado de Valores Latinoamericanos en Euros in Madrid.
AMX first announced it planned to acquire the rest of Telmex a year ago. It offered Ps10.50 (US$0.89) for the then remaining 40.04% of the operator.
In an SEC filing at the end of April AMX declared it owned 97.2% of Telmex.
