America Movil’s US subsidiary TracFone Wireless has completed its acquisition of Simple Mobile from Deutsche Telekom’s subsidiary T-Mobile USA.
The agreement to acquire the MVNO was announced on 10 May.
According to a statement from TracFone, the deal closed yesterday.
Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed but earlier media reports had put a value of up to US$350m on Simple Mobile.
Tracfone said that Simple Mobile has more than 1 million customers.
