Franco-American equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent has announced several management changes.
Adolfo Hernandez has been appointed president of the newly created business unit, Software, Services & Solutions, which will focus on applications and services.
Stephen Carter will replace him as president of the EMEA region, while also retaining his position as head of global marketing and communications.
Jeong Kim, president of Bell Labs, will also run the corporate strategy unit in a move to bring closer innovation, R&D and strategic direction, the company said.
In addition, Robert Vrij will be in charge of the company’s strategic alliances, including the telecoms and IT alliance with HP, in addition to his position of president Americas region.
Finally, Vivek Mohan, president of the services segment, will leave the company.
