Franco-American equipment maker Alcatel-Lucent has renewed its agreement with Belgium’s public export credit insurer, Office National Ducroire Delcredere (ONDD), which aims to support the export business of the equipment maker worldwide.
Under the agreement, the ONDD will provide insurance for third party financing for the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent equipment.
As part of the initial agreement signed a year ago, Credit Agricole CIB recently signed an ONDD-backed US$220m loan with Brazilian operator Oi to be used to buy Alcatel-Lucent equipment in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
