The proposed delisting of Airtel Zambia has been rejected by the Lusaka stock exchange, according to Telegeography reports.
The chairman of the Zambian bourse Friday Ndhlovu was quoted saying that Bharti Airtel did not follow the correct procedure.
However, the Indian operator will be able to reapply for a delisting.
Bharti acquired the Zambian operator last year when it bought Zain’s African assets for US$10.7bn.
