Indian giant Bharti Airtel has appointed Adil El Youssefi as managing director of its Kenyan operations, and Amadou Dina to lead its Seychelles unit.
The appointments will become effective on 15 April.
Youssefi will join from the Millicom group in Ghana where he has been general manager since June 2012. With Millicom, he also served in Sri Lanka and Chad.
Youssefi replaces Shivan Bhargava, who will return to India.
Dina is currently finance director of Airtel Malawi. He will succeed Vikram Sinha, who has been appointed COO of Airtel in Congo Brazzaville.
Bharti has made a number of executive changes at its African operations since the beginning of the year. Most recently, Teddy Bhullar became the new managing director of Airtel Rwanda.
In a few days, Manoj Kohli, CEO of Bharti’s international operations, will step down from his position. Christian de Faria, CEO of the telco’s African business, will assume full operational control over its units in 17 African geographies as of 1 April.
