UK mobile operator O2 could use 4G spectrum to charge content providers for better access to its network, a spokesman has confirmed
O2 is examining such business models, which could be opened up with the arrival of LTE in the UK in the next few years, reported ZDNet citing CEO Ronan Dunne.
However, Dunne insisted the group will never degrade a service if a particular model is not used. Instead, content providers will be offered more efficient channels to put their most media-rich services though.
