Belgian cableco Telenet has appointed Birgit Conix as new CFO, following the recent resignation of Renaat Berckmoes.
Conix, who has worked in a variety of industries in several European countries, joins from Heineken, where she holds the position of regional head of finance for the Dutch brewer’s Western European organization.
She will start in her new role on 1 October.
Before joining Heineken in 2011, Conix worked for Johnson & Johnson in different positions. She also worked for Reed Elsevier in the past.
John Porter, CEO at Telenet, commented: “Birgit’s strategic vision and her strong leadership skills make her the ideal candidate to head our finance department going forward.”
Former Telnet CFO Berckmoes had announced in June that he would leave the company.
