Lithuanian telco Teo has named Kestutis Sliuzas as its new general manager.
The company, part of Sweden’s TeliaSonera group, announced today that Sliuzas will head the company from 1 November.
Sliuzas, currently managing director of Tetra Pak Ukraine, has had a long career with the food packaging and processing company, working in Lithuania, Italy and Russia before assuming his current role in January 2011.
He also leads the Tetra Pak sales and marketing divisions for the Eastern European and Central Asian regions.
Commenting on the appointment, Teo board chairwoman Malin Frenning described Sliuzas as an excellent leader with “the right customer focus that we need for the future in Teo”.
“With his experience in doing business in an international environment, he has the background we have been searching for. (…) He will lead a technologically and financially healthy company that is continuously an object of pride to its shareholders,” she said
Sliuzas replaces Arunas Siskta, who left this February after nine years with the company.
Acting general manager Giedrius Vegys will remain in the role until Sliuzas starts in November.
