Mexican behemoth America Movil (AMX) has filed preliminary prospectuses indicating that it plans to issue note offerings in euros and pound sterling.
In one SEC filing it said it planned to issue 10-year euro-denominated notes for an undisclosed sum, and that Citigroup and Credit Suisse would be joint book-running managers for the offering.
In a separate filing it said that Credit Suisse and Santander would be joint bookrunners on an offering of 20-year pound sterling notes.
The offerings will be for €700m (US$913m) and £500m (US$755m) respectively, raising US$1.67bn, according to a report in Bloomberg citing a person familiar with the transaction.
The sales would mark AMX’s first issues in euros and sterling since last July when it sold £750m in 2041 notes and a nine-year €1bn bond.
