Belgian telco Mobistar has named former Orange Romania finance head Ludovic Pech as its new CFO.
Pech replaces Werner de Laet, now CEO of Orange Luxembourg, Brussels-listed Mobistar said in a statement. Mobistar, Orange Romania and Orange Luxembourg are all part of the France Telecom (FT) Group.
A French national, Pech started with FT in 1994 as a management consultant and subsequently held various roles within the group in several countries.
From 2000 to 2006, he was CFO of the Spanish subsidiary, participating in the purchase and integration of mobile operator Amena in 2005.
Between 2006 and 2010, he worked at FT’s Paris headquarters as vice president finance of its residential fixed-line business.
Pech became CFO and general secretary of Orange Romania in 2010.
Before joining FT, he helped to develop the Wanadoo brand (now Orange) in Belgium, the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark and Morocco. In 2000, he worked on Wanadoo’s IPO.
