Deutsche Telekom (DT) has appointed Thomas Dannenfeldt as its new CFO.
Dannenfeldt will replace current CFO Timotheus Hoettges when he assumes the role of CEO and chairman of the management board on 1 January 2014, the German incumbent said in a statement.
DT’s supervisory board has also formally appointed Hoettges to the chairman position. He succeeds Rene Obermann, who is leaving to head up Dutch cableco Ziggo in 2014.
Dannenfeldt first started with the DT group in 1992 and has been managing director of finance and controlling at its German operations subsidiary since April 2010. Previously, he led the finance and controlling department at T-Mobile Deutschland. As a member of the T-Home management board from January 2010, he was responsible for the finance department.
The supervisory board has also extended Niek Jan van Damme’s contract as head of the company’s German operations.
