The five-year notes will be sold in Brazil and will carry interest of no more than 65 basis points above the local interbank lending rate, the report said. Banco Itau is reportedly the sole bookrunner.
In March Alberto Horcajo Aguirre was appointed CFO of Telefonica Brasil. Last year the unit generated €13.6bn in revenues out of the group’s total €62.3bn. Telefonica Brasil operates Vivo, Brazil’s number one mobile operator by subscribers, and offers quad play services.
