Sri Lanka Telecom’s CEO will step down at the end of the month, after four years in the role.
Greg Young’s contract expires on 31 January, after which a new CEO will be appointed, said the Sri Lankan incumbent in a statement to the Colombo Stock Exchange today.
“A further statement will be released…immediately after a decision by the board on the replacement and appointment of the SLT CEO,” said the telco.
The announcement did not indicate why Young was leaving the position.
The Sri Lankan government holds a 49.5% stake in the telco and Global Telecommunication Holdings of the Netherlands owns a 44.98% stake, according to the company’s website.
