US incumbent AT&T has issued three tranches of senior unsecured notes to raise a total of US$4bn.
BofA Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs were the joint book-running managers. Mizuho Securities and US Bancorp were senior co-managers.
The first tranche is for US$1bn and matures in 2015, with a coupon of 0.8%.
The second tranche, for US$1.5bn, has interest of 1.4% and matures in 2017.
The third portion of notes carries a coupon of 2.625% and matures in 2022, to raise US$1.5bn.
All three tranches priced at par.
The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
