Philippine telco PLDT has issued PHP6.2bn (US$150m) notes to a group of primary institutional lenders, the company announced today.
The fixed rate corporate bonds mature in seven and ten years and are fixed at a yield of 5.5% and 5.9058% respectively.
BPI Capital Corporation and First Metro Investment Corporation are joint issue managers on the transaction.
“Proceeds from the said facility will be used to refinance PLDT’s existing debts in line with the company’s liability management initiatives to reduce financing costs and rationalise its debt maturities,” said the statement.
