Hungary’s Magyar Telekom (MTel) has agreed to sell digital radio network unit Pro-M to the state-owned National Infocommunications Service Company for HUF19.9bn (US$88.3m).
Deutsche Telekom-owned MTel, which operates under the T-Mobile brand, said in a statement that the deal is expected to close at the end of the month, at which point a final breakdown of the transaction price will be determined.
Magyar Telekom established Pro-M in 2005 to develop and operate a national digital radio network that is used by the emergency services and other public entities.
National Infocommunications Service Company operates telecoms infrastructure for the public sector.
