Previously he was vice president of product management for the EMEA region.
Orr, who has been with RIM for over six years, takes over on 1 September.
He replaces Stephen Bates who has become RIM’s regional MD for Europe. Bates will be responsible for market responsiveness, customer engagement and maximising employee focus across the European organisation.
