The board of Telefonica Brasil, which operates the Vivo brand, has approved a private debenture issue of R$2bn (US$990m) for selected investors, a company spokesperson confirmed.
The bonds will yield 0.75% over the local DI interbank rate and mature on 10 September 2017.
Proceeds from the issuance will be invested in 4G and used to pay-off some debts, according to the board.
