The Kosovan government committee in charge of the privatisation of Post and Telecommunication of Kosovo (PTK) has received eight applications to participate in the planned tender for its 75% stake in the company.
As expected, Turkish mobile operator Turkcell was among those that submitted applications for prequalification. The others were: Albright Capital Management of the US, Avicenna Capital in consortium with Twelve Hornbeams of the UK and Poland, Columbia Capital and ACP Axos Capital of the US and Germany, Elkos of Kosovo, Geni Capital of Luxembourg, M1 International of the British Virgin Islands and Monaco Telecom International.
TelecomFinance understands the privatisation committee will meet within the next few days to decide which applicants qualify for the final bidding round. Those that do will then get access to the data room and IM.
The sellers still expect to be able to announce the winner by the end of the year.
Lazard and Raiffeisen Investment are acting as financial advisers for the process.
