Abu Dhabi-based telecoms group Etisalat has appointed Ahmed Al Awadi as CFO of its UAE subsidiary.

The move is aimed at enhancing “its financial performance and strengthening its senior management team,” the company stated.
Al Awadi first joined Etisalat in 1999 before being appointed as director of M&A at the company. He was later promoted as vice president of international investments.
Etisalat UAE reported revenues of AED5.6bn (US$1.5bn) in Q2 2012, a 3% decline on the previous quarter.
