The head of Vodafone Ghana, Kyle Whitehill, expects to see the listing of telecom operators in the country within the next two years.
He was quoted telling local website Joy Online that those IPOs on the Ghana Stock Exchange could include that of Vodafone Ghana, the second-largest player.
This would give Ghanaians the opportunity to share in the telecom wealth, he added.
However, the CEO does not expect a consolidation trend in the near future despite Ghana being home to six mobile carriers.
Last year, he had reportedly predicted that mergers would take place in order to allow the smallest operators to survive.
But growth rates have encouraged companies to stay on longer and eye IPOs instead, Whitehill said.
