Maltese telco GO has named Yiannos Michaelides as the successor to outgoing chief executive officer David Kay.

Maltese telco GO has named Yiannos Michaelides as the successor to outgoing chief executive officer David Kay.
Kay is set to leave the company on 7 September for personal reasons, the company said in a statement.
Michaelides is starting with the quadruple-play operator as deputy CEO and will take over from Kay upon his departure.
Prior to his new appointment, Michaelides was GO’s interim chief commercial officer, based in Cyprus.
Before starting with the company, he worked as a senior executive for its main shareholder, EITL in Dubai, where his responsibilities included portfolio management. Before that, he was vice president of strategic marketing for Dubai-based integrated telecoms operator du.
Michaelides holds a B.Eng (Honours) and M.Eng (Honours) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada and an MBA with distinction from the UK’s Warwick Business School.
