Japanese mobile operator NTT Docomo has been successful in its takeover tender offer for Italian mobile content provider Buongiorno.
The deal will see NTT pay €2 in cash per Buongiorno share on 18 July for a total €209m.

Japanese mobile operator NTT Docomo has been successful in its takeover tender offer for Italian mobile content provider Buongiorno.
The deal will see NTT pay €2 in cash per Buongiorno share on 18 July for a total €209m.
93.7% of Buongiorno’s share capital were tendered in the offer during the acceptance period that started on 4 June and closed on 6 July.
According to NTT, the takeover will boost its advance mobile technology expertise and extend its global customer base.
Buongiorno services around two billion customers worldwide. It posted revenues of around €228.6m for the 2011 financial year.
Nomura is advising NTT, which acquired the group through its German subsidiary Docomo Deutschland, while Buongiorno is being advised by Mediobanca.
