France Telecom chairman and CEO Stephane Richard told delegates at a recent conference in Paris that he will seek a second term in the role, when the first one draws to a close in June 2014.
Richard made the comments at union CFE-CGC-UNSA’s annual summer event for telecoms and media personnel, French and overseas media reported.
Richard started at France Telecom in September 2009 and became CEO in March 2010. He has been CEO and chairman of France Telecom since March 2011.
Previous positions include a two-year term as chief of staff to the French Minister for the Economy, Industry and Employment.
