Following the merger of Liberty Global’s German subsidiaries, Kabel BW (KBW) and Unitymedia, Kabel BW CEO Harald Rosch and KBW CFO Holger Puchert have left the company.
In late 2011, Liberty Global had received regulatory approval for the takeover of KBW, following a detailed antitrust investigation that had taken several months.
The company subsequently worked on a merger of the German subsidiaries. In April, Liberty launched a stock exchange offer for all outstanding KBW debt, which successfully closed in early May, thereby paving the way for the merger of the subsidiaries.
In a statement today, Liberty said the new merged entity is called Unitymedia KabelBW, and headed by Lutz Schüler, who has been CEO of Unitymedia since January 2011.
