Bawa, who has been with RIM for 12 years, is planning to stay on until a new chief legal officer has been appointed.
Thorsten Heins, RIM CEO, stated: “Karima has been a tireless advocate for RIM’s business during more than a decade of hyper growth and she continues to actively support our business in her chief legal officer role on a daily basis.”
Earlier this month, RIM appointed a new COO, Kristian Tear.
