Hong Kong’s Hutchison Telephone is seeking a HK$6.5bn (US$836.7m) three-year loan to refinance its debt, TelecomFinance has confirmed.
The banks looking at this facility include DBS Bank, HSBC, Agricultural Bank of China, Credit Agricole, Bank of China, CIBC, Mizuho, UOB, Standard Chartered and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp (SMBC).
It is understood that the deal will be signed soon. Proceeds will be used to repay a HK$5bn (US$643.6m) three-year loan due to mature at the end of the year.
