Incumbent Telecom New Zealand has appointed Simon Moutter as its new CEO and managing director, effective as of 1 September 2012.
He will replace Paul Reynolds who announced last year he would step down once Telecom NZ establishes itself as an independent network business.
The company completed its structural separation from its Chorus infrastructure unit in November last year in order to take part in the country’s national broadband network (NBN) project).
Moutter previously served as chief operating officer of Telecom NZ and chief executive of Powerco, a local energy company.
