Chinese telecoms equipment provider Huawei has named Wind Li as the new chief executive of its Kenyan office.
Li, formerly Huawei’s regional director of sales, succeeds Herman He, who held the position for five years, the company said in a statement.
Li has more than a decade of experience in the telecoms sector, according to the statement. He worked as an account manager for Huawei in Madagascar before taking on the role of MD of Huawei in Zambia.
Huawei also named John Tanui as deputy CEO of the Kenyan office, responsible for the company’s delivery and services in Kenya, Somalia, Djibouti and Tanzania.
Under its new leadership, Huawei said it expects to introduce its latest products to the Kenyan market.
