Mobile operator Digicel is planning to launch a private placement of US$250m of senior notes maturing in 2020.
In a statement, Digicel said that it wants to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including “potential acquisitions, future capital expenditures and debt service obligations”.
A Digicel spokeswoman declined to give any further details on the placement.
While it is incorporated in Bermuda, Digicel provides mobile services in 31 markets in the Caribbean, Central America and the Pacific.
