The European Telecommunications Network Operators’ Association (ETNO), a lobbying group, has appointed Daniel Pataki, former President of Hungary’s National Communications Authority, as its new director.
Pataki, who is also a former chairman of European lobbying bodies the European Regulators Group (ERG) and the EU’s Radio Spectrum Policy Group (RSPG), will take up his new role in February 2012.
He fills a position left vacant by Michael Bartholomew in March 2011.
ETNO chairman Luigi Gambardella said: “ETNO is delighted to welcome Daniel Pataki as its new director. Daniel’s talent and knowledge of EU regulation, gained as chairman of the ERG and RSPG will directly benefit ETNO members and raise the association’s profile and presence with the European Institutions and BEREC.”
