Portuguese Grupo Oni, which controls fixed-line operator Oni Communications, has raised €50m in financing from a syndicate of banks, led by Barclays and ING.
The club of banks also included BNP Paribas and Banco BPN/Efisa.
The contract will allow Oni to extend the maturity of its existing debt (worth €40m) by six years, the company said in a statement. €10m will be invested in the company’s growth plan.
Oni Communications provides voice, data and internet services, which are targeted at a market of corporate and large enterprises, telecoms operators and the public sector.
Grupo Oni also includes an integrated technology company (Hubgrade) and an IT/telecoms services company (Knewon).
For the fiscal year that ended on the 30 June, Grupo Oni reported EBITDA of €22.3m, compared to €20.3m for the previous year.
