Dubai-headquartered MVNO Friendi plans to launch services in two more countries in the first half of 2012, reported Omani newspaper Muscat Daily.
Citing Antti Arponen, CEO of Friendi’s Oman subsidiary, the report says the group, which currently has operations in Oman, Jordan and Saudi Arabria, is on track to expand across the Middle East and North Africa regions.
A Friendi spokesman confirmed it is expecting to add a couple of countries next year to its geographical coverage. However, he added that it had yet to secure further MVNO licences.
