Swedish vendor Ericsson has appointed Magnus Mandersson, head of its global services business unit, to executive VP.
Mandersson, who will remain in his current role as head of the group’s overall services offering around the world, will take up his new role as of 1 November.
Hans Vestberg, Ericsson’s President and CEO, said: “Magnus Mandersson plays an important role in driving the continuous development of Ericsson’s market leading services offering. Magnus is a leadership team member which adds valuable insights combining strategy and operational experience with his key insights from a mobile operator.”
The announcement comes a day after the group confirmed plans to sell its share of 50/50 handset manufacturer JV Sony Ericsson to its partner Sony for E1.05bn.
