Polish telecoms incumbent TPSA is not in talks to join Vivendi’s bid for Polish broadcaster TVN, Reuters reports citing the telco’s CEO.
TPSA’s chief Maciej Witucki was quoted saying that his company would look at any proposal but currently there was no discussion with Vivendi about a partnership.
Reuters reported earlier this month that Vivendi could team up with local partners and local media reportedly suggested that the French company could turn to France Telecom-controlled TPSA.
Vivendi’s pay TV unit Canal + has entered exclusive talks with media conglomerate ITI and TVN for a strategic partnership.
ITI has hired JPMorgan and Nomura to help review its strategic options for TVN, in which it owns 56.21%.
TPSA did not reply to request for comments before press time.
