France’s four mobile operators have been awarded 4G licences in the 2.6 GHz range for a total of E936m.
Bouygues Telecom and SFR won a duplex block of 15 MHz each for E228m and E150m respectively. Free Mobile will pay E271m for a duplex frequency block of 20 MHz and Orange will pay E287m for a similar block.
Except SFR, the operator also committed to host MVNOs on their network.
The reserve price for the total of frequencies available was E700m.
Applications for frequencies in the 800 MHz band resulting from the digital dividend must be submitted by 15 December.
