Commenting on Dirks’s appointment, which will be put to shareholders during an EGM expected to be held in November, CEO Eelco Blok said: “He brings substantial experience of the international mobile business, as well as outstanding knowledge of innovation, networks and IT.
“The international mobile business is one of the cornerstones of the ‘Strengthen, Simplify, Grow’ strategy that we outlined earlier this year. I know Thorsten as a very decisive and experienced manager, with an excellent track record in execution.”
