Spain will auction 4G spectrum at a starting price of E1.45bn in the coming days, according to media reports quoting the industry ministry.
The ministry reportedly said that eleven companies would be allowed to participate, including existing telcos Telefonica, Vodafone and France Telecom, as well as local cable operators and smaller players.
The auction will be carried out in several rounds, starting before the end of June.
Last month, Spain reportedly sold 4G spectrum to France Telecom and TeliaSonera, raising E168m.
The ministry was not immediately available for comments.
