The Romanian regulator has launched a public consultation on the implementation strategy and development of Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) in the 3400-3800 MHz band for the 2011-2020 period.
The consultation proposes principles, conditions and procedures for granting the rights to use the spectrum.
ANCOM plans to start a selection process in 2012 to allocate seven national licences in the 3.4 – 3.8 GHz band, three in the 3410 – 3600 Mhz band and four in the 3600 – 3800 MHz band. The licences will be valid for ten years. In 2014, the regulator also intends to award BWA licences in the 3410 – 3600 MHz for each county.
Comments and proposals must by submitted by 14 July.
