Vodafone Ghana has secured a US$115m financing package led by the IFC for the development of its network, particularly in rural areas.
The deal consists of a US$82m syndicated loan with the IFC, Export-Import Bank of China, China Development Bank and Germany’s DEG. The US$33m B loans are provided by Barclays, Ecobank, Rand Merchant Bank and Standard Bank.
IFC was lead arranger and administrative agent.
Last year, IFC provided a US$100m loan to Vodafone Ghana.
