Swiss utilities provider Genossenschaft Elektra Baselland (EBL) has acquired ten regional networks in Switzerland from local cableco Brandis for an undisclosed sum.
The agreement, retroactively secured on 1 January, sees EBL snap up networks in Goldbach-Schwanden, Grünenmatt, Hasle Dorf-Biembach, Lützelflüh-Dorf, Lützelflühschachen, Ramsei, Rüegsauschachen, Rüegsau-Rüegsbach, Schafhausen and Trachselwald.
These networks are served by local internet and telephony providers Medianet and ZAPP.
EBL did not respond to requests for comment.
