Nigeria’s telecoms operator Starcomms announced the retirement of CEO and managing director Maher Qubain.
Logan Pather, who joined the company last February as COO, has been appointed acting CEO and MD.
Qubain joined the company as CTO and in 2005 was appointed CEO and MD. It is under his leadership that Starcomms became the first telecoms operator to be listed on the Nigerian stock exchange in 2008.
Oubain will become adviser to the board of directors and to the new CEO.
