Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar is selling unnecessary base stations following the merger with VimpelCom, Telecompaper reports quoting local media.
The base stations concerned are owned by VimpelCom’s unit, Beeline Ukraine, and are mainly located abroad.
Kyivstar is reportedly planning to retain its own base stations and a third of Beeline Ukraine’s ones.
The company did not respond to request for comment before press time.
