Niclas Palmstierna is to step down as CEO of alternative operator Tele2 Sweden on 1 May, after more than 12 years with the group.
“After 12.5 incredible years within Tele2 and the group, it is time for new challenges,” said Palmstierna, who will travel to South America to set up a voluntary education project for homeless children.
Palmstierna has been CEO and Nordic market area director for 5.5 years.
Mats Granryd, president and CEO of Tele2 group, said: “I would like to thank Niclas for his extraordinary contribution to Tele2 and his commitment to the long-term positive development of the Nordic business.
“I really appreciate his steady focus on the key drivers of the business and find that his consistent support on challenging issues has made all the difference to effective decision making.”
Tele2 operates fixed and mobile services across 11 European countries, from Norway to Russia.
