Telekom Malaysia and mobile operator Celcom Axiata signed a memorandum of understanding for the delivery of multi-access, multi-media, fixed and mobile convergence services.
In a release, Telekom Malaysia said that the MoU covered high speed broadband services, wholesale internet access, DSL access, fibre network system via wholesale long term lease and MVNO services.
It added that the high speed broadband internet service collaboration would allow Celcom to provide its own fibre-based fixed broadband services. For areas not covered by high speed broadband, Celcom will be able to use TM’s DSL service to complement its 3G/HSDPA mobile broadband coverage.
