Romania’s Competition Council has fined mobile operators Orange and Vodafone for abusing their dominant market positions.
Orange was fined E34.8m and Vodafone E28.3m for refusing network access to alternative operator Netmaster Communications.
The operators were also found guilty of having set excessive call termination rates internationally until the beginning of 2007.
The council started investigating in 2006 following a complaint from Netmaster.
