The board is expected to accept his resignation on February 23.
Lombard was sidelined from the management of France Telecom after a wave of suicides which was attributed to the management practices under his leadership. On March 1 2010, Stephane Richard, who was CEO delegate, took up the role of CEO in charge of the group’s operations. Lombard remained chairman.
