Spanish incumbent Telefonica is set to execute US$2.75bn worth of notes in two tranches on 16 February, according to an SEC filing.
The first 3.992% tranche, worth US$1.25bn, is payable semiannually, and will mature on 16 February 2016. The second 5.462% tranche, which is also payable semiannually, is worth US$1.5bn and will mature on 16 February 2021.
This latest issue follows a E1.2bn six-year bond placed by Telefonica on 7 February.
Deutsche Bank, BBVA, BNPP and Lloyds were mandated for that issue, which has a 100% reoffer price.
Telefonica was unable to comment before the press deadline.
